SLA - Den Haag, Netherlands

Woo! This is my first blog-post in the city I will be living in for the next 4 years - The Hague or Den Haag (if you are Dutch)!

The Hague is an adorable city that has a bunch of cafes and restaurants scattered all around. The city is very international since you can have a bunch of different dishes from all around the world (Chinese, Thai, Indonesia, etc.)

So, the coffee shop I went to is called SLA and it is a salad bar. That means that you can make your salad from scratch. They have many different toppings and fillings you can choose from.

For my bowl of salad I chose: couscous, sweet potatoes, edamame, cucumber, carrots, chicken and tortilla chips. It was a big portion, so for the price, you get loads of food to eat. Plus, we even got some curry hummus on the side with warm bread. They have nice side dishes to accompany the salad bowl.

The service is friendly and they speak both Dutch and English. The environment is super cute, and comfortable. You have the choice of outside tables (a good option on a sunny day), otherwise, the inside is very nice and bright.

A coffee shop I greatly recommend if you are looking for something healthy, and yummy near the center of Den Haag!
